Lee
someone just commented this on my Facebook Ah Lee, this bit of kit won't do it but I was wondering if you can fix the renault key cards? One has completely gone and the sensor won't pick it up, the other one is hit and miss and we have a plastic knife that we shove in the ignition with the key to get it started! Thanks I know these are notorious, but can they be repaired? or is it new ones? do I have any options to make me sound professional on the O' so public book of faces? grahamparker
They can be repaired but usually it is only a temporary reprieve and your lucky if you get a couple of months more out of them. The best way is always to have new ones programmed. Kris Polan and Autotechnix

kingkey
Just to be awkward... Good quality copies cost you 1/3 what a genuine card costs, will last 2-3 years if looked after. Originals will last 6 years of not looked after and 9 years if looked after. The going rate on eBay is £75 supplied and coded for a spare copy card. I haven't done a spare card in probably 3 years. got to disagree there pal i spend well over a grand a month buying renault cards from the dealer . i sell them at a good profit and the dealer in return passes my name onto customers . the dealer takes 10 days to get a key for a customer , which the customer is not happy about . i never use copy cards anymore .in the past i bought 100 and within 3 months many had failed . the remaining i passed to people in auction sites so they would be no come back
