actionman
Hi Does anyone know of any equipment that will program the remote part of these keys with barcode? Tried a few times with my MVP & remotes bought from 3d but just doesn't work & still takes a token Craig

actionman
My MVP Pro doesn't do it which i believe is same software as AD100 Pro. After you've entered the remote position & barcode then the instructions for turning ignition off, on & off then pressing remote buttons comes up on the screen but vanishes within a second. I've spoken to Hickleys several times about it & they say it won't program copy remotes. Will only program genuine remotes from dealers
Neal Southern
There have been a few threads on this topic on various forums recently. The general conclusion is that if the car has had a replacement bsi fitted then you will not be able to programme a remote with AD, genuine key or not. Over the past year or so I have had about a 50% success rate. That is by using the same supplier for the remotes (3D) and the same programmer (AD100). From that experience it would be a reasonable conclusion then. The bsi is located in the drivers footwell behind the kick panel. From what I can remember the original bsi has an aluminium casing and the replacement bsi has a black plastic casing - or visa versa.

3D Group
The remotes that we sell at 3D Group are OEM circuit boards but aftermarket case and PCF chip. The reason for struggling on MVP is wrong system to code the remote. Our retail sister company has had 100% success on Mini and Rover 75. Please remember though you need to program the chip via EEPROM to the EWS box. Kris Polan
actionman
which system do they need to be coded through Dan as i'm sure i've tried all the different option in the MVP menu & just watched my tokens vanish. Also i don't have any issues with the EWS which is why i just asked about the remote part in my original post
Count Muppet
Have you tried programming in manually on these?
actionman
No. I was always led to believe they had to be coded using the barcode
