Mike at Vauxhall
My shop is so small, every shoe care item I stock needs to be sold at least once every other month. Coloured shoe creams, there are so many, they look nice, but long and short of it. They don't sell fast enough. But the nail in the coffin for me was when a very large women came in, bent over to look at them. ( they are a slow moving line so keep them low down.) Her huge arse seemed to completely fill my shop, and she was wearing a thong. No more coloured shoe creams for me. windycity and derek

CBPTerritoryManager
It may help looking at how they are displayed, the RRP and the quantities you are holding. I'll declare an interest here first - I manage the independent stockists for Cherry Blossom Premium and have been installing new shelving with retailers all across the UK. We are offering Jar Creams from####/ Edited please don't display wholesale prices on the public forums, keep these for the trade usergroup secion.ea NETT, which will allow a good margin even at the £2.99 RRP. I've seen a lot which are so old they are dry and cracked, these won't sell at all. Also the racking may need looking at - if your shelves are old and tired, it may be worth asking your supplier for new display solutions? In terms of actual sales, Creams are doing very well across the board - there should be no reason to discontinue them, but I would look at holding more of the key colours and possibly singles only of slower moving lines. Hope that helps Mike at Vauxhall and kobblers
Mike at Vauxhall
I am feeling drawn to maybe carry a wider range of colours, but making my doorway narrower to stop big arses from coming in. However I remember my four year cycle with coloured creams. I buy them , they don't sell fast enough, I get rid of them, ( I once used them to draw a big dinosaur picture) time passes, I think I should stock them, the cycle continues. Unfortunately my shop does not have any windows, so can't do a display.
