Growster
Givi is a provider of motorcycle carry-boxes. Last time I told them about the 5 unresolved enquiries I receive a year for spare keys, they made me feel as I was I was ringing from a Philippino accident helpline. If this is the Thule LF12 (Silca) blank, then the codes don't match. Is this the LF12 blank?? Does anyone have the codes? Givi Germany has better customer service, but they would at best send out blanks, not keys to code. 4 pics attached.
Growster
Apologies for answering my own question - I just had a Givi key come in. For codes from 200 downwards, the LF12 (Silca) Thule codes seem to work. These codes have just 3 depths, the keys can thus be read from a photo. What does one do, when all keys are lost and the code on the lock is above 200?
grahamparker
Well you can pick them open and strip down but the method below is easier. Read the depths of the wafers by eye using a good quality torch or probe. You can sometimes cut a key with depth keys or with a really good guess at the depths and spacing (i do this for all the foreign cash tins and key cabinets) or use any code machine if you have one available. The more you do the easier they become.
kobblers
There are two series of Givi that utilise the codes 001-200 but there are two different sets of bitting and both use LF12. They'll do for the E460 and Z140r range but you need to know which is which. If anyone can supply the bitting for the full range of E460 codes, I'd be very grateful as I can't find them. The Z661 range uses the codes from 25001-27000 on the SIlca EU5r blank, as far as I know - you just use the last three digits so 25001 becomes 001 which is the code on the key or lock. Rick. keySolutions
Have a look at instacode card 243. It contains the 1-210 codes. Edit: However, the depths and spacing don't seem to match. Silca card 211 (instacode 125) is a card that works for depth and spacing.

Thanks for that but I've tried the BT2 blank in the past and had nothing but problems. The few E460 keys I've seen have all been on JMA RE-1D. Rick. kobblers
I've just received an 012, E460 series Givi key from ebay, that I ordered to try and make sense of the cuts and to see if I could make depth keys from it. It's cut on JMA RE-1D and has the correct cuts from Instacode card 243 - bitting 11233 - even though the blank in Instacode is recommended as Silca BT2 or ZD13r. When I search Instacode by the JMA blank - the blank RE--1D is showing but the bitting doesn't match. EG: Instacode card 243 has the bitting for 012 as 11233 but the JMA RE1-D has the bitting as 22100. I am so bloody confused. I get asked for these a lot, over the internet and don't know what the hell to do............. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Rick. Count Muppet
It mentioned something along the lines of “thanks for your order” maybe you got them from him online?

Quite possibly but it's no different from me using other sources on the internet. or here, to expand my business. I know a lot of people who use fastkeys and they don't seem to have a beef about it - at least they're getting paid. People have also used me to make a profit and I could care less - it's business. Count Muppet
I don’t think he was moaning at you. I think he was explaining why he uses a particular blank.
