Engraver Advise Please

At the moment we only run a laser engraver but now have the need for a small mechanical one. I have narrowed it down to a Gravograph M40 or a U Marq Gem FX5 to me they seem to be similar spec machines but the Gravograph is considerably more expensive. I would normally go with the theory you get want you pay for but at the moment I am swinging towards the U Mark. Any opinions would be really appreciated. Thanks

I have 4 U-Marq machines & cannot recommend them highly enough.

Doubtless the next person along will be a Gravo afficionado.

Get a hands on trial of both of them, try the sort of job you are likely to want to engrave (don't just stand back & watch the salesman do his demo) and see which software you prefer. It's the day to day usability of them that is most important, and realistically this is down to the software.

I use 2 lasers and 3 unarq machines everyday and I would never consider putting a gravograph machine in my workshop
