Forest Cobbler
Is anyone else finding that the standard nickel plated brass pet tags are not lasting as long as they used to? Or are our customers just complaining more often, because the ring wears the top of the tag through? Thanks, Valerie
ELR92
Yes I've had a few customers saying they have come off the collar but no complaints just another sale the only reason for this must be the split ring is harder metal than the tag!

Forest Cobbler
We also tell the customers what the law states they should have on a tag, but that isn't really my point. (And they often don't take any notice anyway.) Yes a worn through dog tag needs replacing, but if the customer goes elsewhere to get it, because the one they bought from us didn't last as long as they expected it to, then where are the extra sales in that? Perhaps what we need to do is sell the basic tags at a much lower price, then maybe the customer won't be quite so hacked off if they don't last so long. keithm
I always liked the 'Aluminium' tags as they are lighter and suffered less wear on the ring due to lower weight
grahamparker
Lower weight on your ring is always good.
