Derek, read the post ??

i did, but by asking a simple question it was apparent there was "somewhere" to put the chip, just that the somewhere wasn't big enough, not that there was "nowhere", as i have had this problem and the tpx chip fitted in and all i needed to do was cut down the red plastic holder so only the top of it was used as a stopper, so maybe you could try reading the post

Derek is right as i have done the same with some silca blanks.

Also managed to drill a hole to take a chip when i didn't have the right blank once.Didn't look to bad when the tpx 2 was inserted and a little blob

of glus on top to seal it in.

Some of the Landrover (NE38) cases need to be drilled otherwise the car doesn't see the chip when replacing a snapped key.
