AcremanS
I've been looking through the maintenence manual I have (I think a few pages are missing), and as far as I can tell everything mentioned seems to set correctly. However, when it comes to pulling the thread back to tighten the stitch, it doesn't pull back far enough and it leaves so much of a loop, it gets trapped in the bobbin when the needle comes down to pick up the next stitch. It's never done this before, how do I stop it doing this? (I'll be honest, I'm rubbish when it comes to maintenence )
petercoulson
Check the threading, it is missing the lock or lock has gone out of adjustment but check threading first. The lock is the plates the thread sits in after the tension adjustment. It is common for it to jump out of here when snapping occurs or thread is changed.
