Then calculating...................... after the number 99 it says key not found.

The problem is the customers key does not work either. ](*,)

Using silca fast copy if you take out original key before time it would don't work in some models .

Can it be the same ?

In this case you can only regenerate it if you do nothing before insert original again and write it.

the only instructions I can find for re-generating a key are for the PEUGEOT PH1D & are as follows (I've emailed Keyline to confirm these for this instance, so these instructions are unconfirmed at present)

In the case in which the original key has been removed and the 884 Decryptor Ultegra has been restarted, or whenever a power failure takes place during the analysis of the original key PH1D (the phase during which the message Do not remove the key!” appears), you can recover the original key, which would be damaged otherwise. Insert the original key into the key insertion slot and press “Read”. Then the following message appears:

1.jpg

Press “write” and the following message appears:

2.jpg

Keep “F1” pressed for three seconds and the following message appears:

3.jpg

Do not remove the key from 884 Decryptor Ultegra during this phase. Wait until the

following message appears:

4.jpg

Now the original key has been recovered.

Pretty simple really. although again someone else might confirm this, I'm not sure what happens if the 884 has been switched off & On, can a key still be re-generated?

I got this reply from keyline.

Good afternoon Lee,

thank you for having informed about this issue, that’s very easy to explain:

during year 2011 several car makers started to use the new Texas Crypto 3 (80 bit) transponders.

This transponder at the moment can’t be copied.

Customer’s 884 has just tried to copy this key following the Texas Crypto 40 bit procedure, that’s why it reported “key not found”.

About the original key that’s no more working, this can’t be caused by our 884, because it doesn’t any type of writing steps on original Texas keys, that’s why there are no recovery procedure.

Feel free to contact me directly in the case you would need more explanations

Best regards

Hi

Thank you everybody with the help on this and sorry i've not posted a reply sooner.

@ Lee thankyou very much for your trouble. Keyline did give the correct information. The car went to the dealer and they found an electrical problem that was noting to do with anything I had done. It was just a complete coincidence that this happened whilst I was trying to copy a key for it.

Thanks again everybody.

Kind regards

Dave

Hi im glad you managed to sort out your problem

there is now a new update 02.039 which should resolve this problem by telling you you cannot duplicate this key

This should solve the confusion of trying to clone unclonable keys, which i know has been a little frustrating up to now

You can update http://www.keyline.it/eng/994-laser/

or through your 884 Tool that is also downloadable in the same place

Any problems regarding 884, please call me here at Davenports 01902 366448
