completelocks
Hi.. I keep getting asked for tog tags, nothing else to do with engraving, so am not looking to spend thousands. Are these little hand held things any good for it?
hibsjo(SCO)
yes they are brilliant for pet discs and ive got one for sale carry on!
Lee
Personally I think the consumer is more demanding than the standards the average man can produce with one of these. you'd have to be very artistic & a great writer to get away with it. your more likely to upset your client base than build it. IMO If its pet tags, then for only a small investment you could get a pantograph but even this is old fashioned, really even for pet tags you'll be needing a computer run machine. Niche markets do exist (when was the last time you had anything sign written by a man with a paint brush) but the main stream customer wants it preciser. Gray
If Jo hadn't got one for sale he'd say they were crap.. ....and as Lee says they are only as good as your hand writing. Dog tags only....Iv'e even seen a couple of annual cups engraved with one of those...... .....horrendous.
cobblers&keys
I have a pantagraph for sale which would do all your pet tags AND if you do get asked for anything else standard ie flat plates, round trophies or tankards, hipflasks or zippo lighters etc etc. Then it can do them aswell. This machine will cost you no where near a thousand pound let me know if you want it.
