kobblers
Is this common practice? If it is it's not bleeding fair: We placed an order with a supplier this week and made sure we ordered enough so we could negate the postage costs as they offer free posting over a certain amount spent. We received the order and a 3 lots of keys were missing (UL2s were part of them!!!! Plain and Man U as well as UNL503) and showing on the invoice as a zero sent. It's bad enough that such high-demand keys should be apparently out of stock but we also got charged the postage as the lack of these keys had dropped our order cost below the free P n P amount. Whose friggin' fault is that? It's not ours and I'm gonna challenge it Rick.
Lee
I know stock levels must be a nightmare but it never seizes to amaze me how much from orders doesn't turn up because items are out of stock (with the exception of Glenways, who seam to stock millions of everything!) I've seen as much as a 1/3 of the value of an order not turn up! I also agree with you Rick, it ain't your fault! a phone call would have been all it took! grahamparker
Carriage charges are a real killer these days so i always make orders up to carriage paid. I once placed an order for keys and it came to £99.98 (carriage free at £100) but a quick call soon resolved the problem but i was told next time i would have to pay. Most times if the supplier is out of stock then it is there fault not yours.
Guest Cjm
If you place an order with us and it's stock items and over £80 nett, we shouldn't charge carriage, even if the items are out of stock. Did you get this resolved with whoever it was?

Paul_
The problem is that most wholesalers run on automated invoicing systems, if the computer says to charge carriage then that's what happens. I'm sure if you rang the supplier and explained what happened they would issue you a credit or give you some free stock to the value of the carriage charge. That's what I would do. On a simular note, why don't other wholesalers run their sites like mine, in that it has all the stock levels on there and if something is out of stock you simply can't add it to the cart?? Let us know if you get a result.
autolock
this has happened to me on a number of occasions with a particular supplier ,really annoys me especially when the site tells you how many items are supposedly in stock .
