There has been a discussion on engraving bottles on the forum, with some worried about the impending danger of one exploding so.....................

This ones only to be answered by those who've engraved them on a computer engraver with a diamond.

I can't answer then. I'm excluded from this poll.... :-# Tis a silly question anyway [-( [-(

Well buy yourself a bottle of plonk, engrave it, drink it to celebrate it not exploding, and then use the empty bottle to promote the service.

Just remember to sober up before you start engraving again.

I sandblast bottles regularly. I wouldn't fancy engraving in a laser or a rotary to be fair.

Why? Well, if (and its a big if) the bottle breaks (although it hasn't happened yet, but it will to one us eventually) it would cost me £150 to change the sand in the sandblast cabinet. God only knows how much it would cost it it damaged the Volume or the laser!
