StevenB
The locksmith in my town has just retired & people have started to come in asking if I stock locks & padlocks. I've never bothered previously due to the combination of Locksmith, hardware store, cheap shop, homebase, jewsons etc all selling them. Now that I'm getting customers asking for the first time, I feel I ought to keep a range of products in stock to satisfy this demand. Can anybody recommend what the most popular items are that I should be stocking? To begin with I'm thinking a good range of padlocks & the most common sizes of mortice locks. If there's anything else I've not mentioned, please let me know. Thanks.
grahamparker
Steven Open a trade account with Aldridges, as from the 16th of january they will be stocking all the Abus Padlock Range. They also do a very good own brand (ASEC) range of padlocks, mortice locks, cam locks and cupboard locks and loads of other stuff to all at great prices as well as merchandisers and literature. They also stock a lot of other manufacturers products Legge, evva, yale, union, kaba to name a few and they can obtain almost any type of lock that they don't stock through there in house specials dept. We started doing this over 25 years ago and have never looked back. Over the last 10 years we have sold over 50,000 padlocks alone and the Abus brand is one of the best from budget through to the highest level of security.
