k4mrc
had a call from a fellow shoe repairer last week who has a Silca Fast copy system and had a member of stall put in his machine a 45 chip off a Puegout and attempt to copy it, customer returned saying the new key did not start the car BUT, neither did the original, so in effect car totally immobilised! he phoned me, who I then gave him Tel200 number who luckily sorted it out! the customer had to "hang around" whilst it was happening - Tel said that what has happened in this case was as the customers key was 'moved' whilst in read mode! so if you have one of these systems BEWARE OF THIS you might not be as lucky! Auto Key Wizard
I've heard about this problem before. Whilst the original key is being read the transponder data can become corrupt, if the key is moved or removed from the device before reading is finished, the end result is this corrupt data is written to the new transponder rendering both keys that will not be recognised by the vehicles immobiliser. The solution was to code in a new transponder diagnostically.
Keydoctor
It could have been recovered by the RW4 itself. Cant remember exact procedure but im sure its under menu as 'Recover Peugeot 45' or similar. HTH
Auto Key Wizard
I don't believe Silca Fast Copy has that option, two functions, Read/Write with no LCD display
grahamparker
I think you can control this option using a pc and the silca software.
D-Power
ID45 and ID42 currupted keys can be regenerated also with Fast Copy. without keys on the antenna, from the main menu, press for some seconds "write button", the machine enter in regenerate ID42 and ID45 mode - you have to select the right ID (42 or 45) pressing shortly the "write" button (the selection between ID42 and ID45 changes at every button pressure) - when the right ID is selected press the "write" button for some seconds - at this point the machine asks you to insert the original key - insert key and press "write" and the regeneration starts (for ID42 the process i short, for ID45 it may take some seconds) (the procedure is reported (in better english) in the user manual) in any case, corrupted keys can be reprogrammed to the vehicle using a diagnostic device. Auto Key Wizard
in any case, corrupted keys can be reprogrammed to the vehicle using a diagnostic device. This is incorrect, The corrupted transponder will not recode diagnostically to the vehicle, Original ID45 transponders are OTP & can not be reused or cleared as virgin. New virgin transponders were programmed, but this resulted in having a remote control that could no longer be matched to the vehicle.
