Craig Gardner
i dont really need a laser machine but am finding myself cutting out shapes nearly daily now on my roland exg350 and its slow and not ideal. i saw ebay Item number: 390313241542 looks cheap but if only to be used for cutting then it might be ok. any opinions on this machine or anyone know anyone that has bought one or used one. i know their is cheaper basic ones for about £500 on ebay but i have had a shot of 1 of them thaey are useless but this semms much better. craig

StevenB
It may well be a bargain, but reading the listing, I just felt uneasy about the thought of you spending a reasonable amount of cash on it. If they can't even use proper English when they're selling it, what chance have you got if something goes wrong, or you need technical support. And the answer was then provided: Technical Support We have a professinal technical support group for all the item selling. If you need any assistance on your item problem, please do not hesitate to contact us, our technical support will be there to assist you. My gut feeling on this one is that it's very easy for them to be making all their claims about how much better their product is than the competition, located as they are over in the far east, as if anything were to go wrong, realistically you can't do a lot about it. Definitely a case of caveat emptor. If it were me buying this, I'd be looking around for something in the UK, perhaps a decent used machine from a known supplier. Gray
I concur. I would carry on as you are Craig. I cut shapes on my EGX300 too. It is a bit slow, I just set it up and go and do something else. Leave it chugging away in the corner. It owes me nothing. Why spend more pennies

Gray
When Mark installed my uni 300 I had all my jobs on a memory stick and he just copied them into the new software. Which version of V5 did you have basic, standard or advanced?
