Paul_
i wonder how they can get away with putting "non-slip heels". Surely they are leaving themselves open to someone suing them if they slip on their heels?? Does anyone know what brand of heel they are using?? Count Muppet
Its a pu heel with a thin coating that seems like a bit of stick on sole sheeting, being purchased from our friends in europe by the look of it
grahamparker
So if the customer is wearing the shoes on a wet tiled surface (like our local precinct) are they sure they can say these are non slip ???? I have lost count of the number of times i have seen women slip in stilettos when its raining or wet. Sounds like they are opening themselves up to a bucketload of complaints unless there is some small print stating they only work on certain floor coverings and with no water or ice or even dust about. keithm
Do all of you believe that stick on soles stop you slipping? Or non-slip soles stop you slipping? Over to you Interesting marketing concept though
damen.rudi
Hello, stilettos that don't slip is something new for me. Soles that really don't slip on wet or greasy floor excist. I have some customers like butchers, chefs,... that may not slip in their kitchen. Herefor I put Continental Contol on their shoes. Pretty sure it doesn't slip because with this material I got a lot of new customers that where searching for this item. Only one problem. It excists only in 5 or 6.5 mm. Count Muppet
some branches are not displaying this poster and choose to sell them as hard wearing stilleto heels instead
Pyrite
Do all of you believe that stick on soles stop you slipping? Or non-slip soles stop you slipping? Over to you Interesting marketing concept though I found that my customers responded better to the term "anti-slip" instead of non-slip. Calling it non-slip I feel that the customers take it as a personal challenge.... Cheers

Attachment: IMG-20110226-00210.jpg [ 45.71 KiB | Viewed 333 times ] Good marketing though, we had better get used to this as i am told they have invested in quite a lot of printing equipment and are able to do this and bigger and better at a touch of a button! so bigger pictures better quality print = better posters and brighter shops! cobbler2u
Its all a load of COBBLERS . Why should we be afraid of timpsons adds. If your shop is well presented and bright your half way there.
Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
If Sued they could prove that the sole was at fault, I would have worded it as "Slip Resistant". If it sells more Repairs then it works. Nothing stopping you from making your own Ads claiming whatever you want. I would like to see a complaint from a Multiple manager saying that your Ad has taken trade from them, that would show initiative not sour grapes. Lifetime guarantee on all men heels with 1/4 steel tips is one I would use, just charge extra to cover costs on the odd ones you would get back. (applies to most products you sell) Who advertises a lifetime guarantee against key breakage? If a key breaks they will say its your fault and you give em a new one anyway.
