grahamparker
Are they fitting the correct battery or just one that fits ???
StevenB
Are the fitters using tweezers or touching the battery with their fingers?
Lee
Has he had all 4 batteries fitted in the same? if so it "could" be that they are fitting cheap Chinese batteries & a trip somewhere else could solve the problem. Most of us offer a 12month Guarantee so they "should" have been replaced under that. If he has had them fitted by a reputable source then perhaps next time he goes in he should discuss it with them so they can delve a little deeper. Web_Engraver
Could always try aTimps 'Life Time Battery' ! Might get your monies worth a 4 per year
Lee
not really a solution is it! Lee
Web_Engraver
I agree it does not solve problem which is probably as stated ie Make & type fitted also how fitted. Also, if the back was not refitted properly after 1st battery change, moisture may have caused rust on movement. My first comment was meant as a joke not serious advice. Irontoe
If one battery fails there is a slim chance that the battery could be at fault but four? The watch is draining the battery too quickly, this could be down to a number of reasons. Did you take it to a watchmaker?
keithm
My son has regrettably informed me that he binned the watch thinking it was fookayed!

keithm
Ok, ok, let me explain the series of events. My son says he has a watch that eats batteries, I said, I know a man who can as Lee has done some watches for me in the past. I contact Lee, explain the problem, Lee says, send it to me. I phone my son, give Lee's details and tell him to send direct to Lee and to pay him when finished, all straight forward enough. However, 2 weeks go by till I ask my son if Lee had fixed his watch? no, he says, i think I chucked it in the bin, thanks I said, I go to all that trouble, blah, blah,......... kids, I like 'em, but I can't eat a whole one! I wouldn't mind, but he's 29 As for what I owe Lee, he adjusted a strap for me and I owe him for that, all sorted, pressie in the post Now, can I go back to sleep!
