Guest fn1234
Im trying to source a manual or a photocopied manual for my dad! He's recently purchased the machine of ebay and is learning how to use it. He needs the manual to learn all about the set up, different measurements and ratios etc
Marino
Basically any pantograph has 2 arms one pointer and an engraver. The arms has one measurement rule each. The setting in the pointer must be exactly the same in the engraver arm. If you want engraving on metals you can use diamond cutters for drag engraving. In this case doesn't need use a nose cone in the spindle and motor can be off. For plastic such as gravoply you need a stainless still or carbide cutter (dipend how hard is your material) At this stage you need the nose cone in the spindle to have the same depth everywhere in your engraving material. How to setup the spindle: 1. Remove the cutter from the spindle and set the spindle micrometer on Zero 2. push the spindle to the plastic material and touch it with the nose cone and hold it down. (do not put pressure on that just touch it) 3. insert the cutter inside in the spindle, when you feel the cutter touch the plastic material hold by the brass cutter knob. 4. release the spindle and add from 2 to 15 division on the micrometer (that's depend of the consistence of your engraving material) for any more information don't hesitate to contact me. (in case full training can be available) Best Regards Marino Manca Engraving Service Engineer
