Johnson Drycleaners

Recommended Posts

i have just spoken to a mate of mines who works for Timpsons, and he was telling me that the local branch of Johnson drycleaners was now doing shoe repair, and also another branch in the city centre, has anyone else came across this,as he seems to think it's being done company wide by them

it's the same round the corner from me in sainbury, the johnsons manager approached me to do their repairs but she said her area manager worked on 40%, i gave her my shop price list and told her she could have 25% off that and make up any prices they wanted.

she came back and said the A/M wanted 40% off my shop prices, this would mean they get more money than me on certain jobs, thanks but no thanks...

any repairs now have to go 40 miles north to be repaired

i also do well in keys from them as they only have a fraction i have in stock so she sends them here, which is nice \:D/

this is exactly what persil were doing towards the end, it never really took off. Timpson were the only winners, when they took over persil, they already had staff trained in key cutting and counter experience for taking in shoe repairs. I would guess that Johnsons are in trouble now too. Probably history repeating itself. :-({|=
