Hello guys

Dont know if anyone has had this problem with there blitz before and maybe able to help.

Its the HPC 1200 CMB. Its an US version which is 115v but has a transformer on it converting the 230v to 115v

The problem im having is that the motor is getting extremly hot near untouchable, and then the blitz switchs itself off, i guess due to overheating.

I dont really want to use it as im sure the motor will end up dying.

I checked the transformer and all seems fine, and there is a fuse in it which will blow if there is to much current so the blitz will not get damaged.

Very greatful for any help.

Cheers

Adam

Why did you need the transformer as you bought from UK ?

I think it was the capacitor & not transformer.

Ok mate no probs.

You wouldnt happen to know where i can get the correct transformer from ?

Cheers

You need to check the cycles as well as the voltage, Not sure what that means but I bought some wood working kit from the USA and I bought a stepdown transformer, but we use 60 cycles and they use 50 or something like that - I can wire a house but no idea on the maths

Thanks alot for your input mick, much appreciated.

This is the transformer i have attached. Which i think is causing the problem.

Can anyone confirm i need different type

Type SAT 300

300VA

Input 230v 1.34A Output 115v 2.6A 2.5AT

I have emailed HPC but they dont reply.

I have just looked on the actual Blitz and it says this.

Volts 115 Amps 3.5

Hz 50-60 RPM 3200

So the output of the transformer is 2.6amp but the blitz is 3.5 amp. So is this my problem transformer is not giving enough amps?

Cheers
