An extract from my website. Without exception I only full sole riding boots. I am seeing new boots with cemented (glued) rubber inserts on the sole, or a rubber ½ stick on sole. Horse manure is corrosive, it attacks adhesive, and sets up a chemical reaction with brass or steel nails. These soles spring, making a perfect V that traps the boot in the stirrup, with potential lethal consequences.
