SKS_User
Depends on what spares they're looking for really, cutters you may get lucky as the industry often shares similiar sizes between machines. For other parts it's a case of matching similar sizes/specs or finding a local firm who can custom make the relevant parts. Failing that, I've got a second hand Lancer Plus due to go up on the website Monday
k4mrc
why not list what parts you are after? then we might have some ideas what and where...
robinh
Many thanks K4 and SKS, I will find out exactly what it is he is looking for when I see him in 2 weeks time ( he isn't on the phone and doesn't have a computer ) . Hopefully he will have the correct details.

grahamparker
A good friend of mine still has a star 2000 machine i sold him second hand 10 years ago,i made one good machine from his original and our old machine. We didn't have ours very long as a blade vectis machine became available at a price that i could not turn down. I have just spoken to him and the only definate fact is that it takes the 750 s/f cutters and the 850w ward cutter. I also made a few enquiries with some suppliers and i think any other part you require you will probably have to have manufactured by a local engineering firm or consider replacing. Gray
I don't know much about this old machine, but from what Graham says maybe it's time to let the old girl lay to rest and buy something new. Start getting parts engineered and it aint going to be cheap. And if the guy hasn't got a phone or a computer ............................... Google Star 2000 mortice key cutter and the first page that comes up is this forum. Speaks volumes!!!!
