Pyrite
Depends on the size and style that you are after. A basic style is to use a bread plate and add 2 tabs on opposite sides. Punch holes around the top and add your lace/strings. or you can roll the top edge and feed your string/lace through that. It is a fairly popular basic pouch that medieval entusiasts love. Alan
I have played making these i use a round paint pot or plate to draw around then free hand a vase type mouth from the top of the circle. cut this out and use it as a template for the other side run a thin bead of solution around both faces, and push together when ready. Stitch around the edge, turn inside out Put small rivet at the top on both sides (as some numpty is bound to try and tear it apart) to protect our stitching.punch holes around the narrowest part of the opening, cut the draw string from the same piece of leather saves on laces and looks rustic. To make one the same size from one piece of leather wastes a lot of stock
hibsjo(SCO)
I made 6 of these at xmas for kids and grandparents. I jazzed them up by making different colored panels for there football teams (sad) but they loved them. normally charge 15 quid for these. heres a tip for you go to your local 3 piece suite shop and ask them for any of there old leather swatch books ive got loads of them plenty of colors to choose from for patching and for making these pouches. carry on!
