ironplanet uk900
I prefered paper bags due to 2 reasons, On purchasing items from Primark in a paper bag, the bag fell apart in the rain outside. thats a good enough reason....lol
ironplanet uk900
personally I aint bothered about bio-bollox NOR ME,, F** THE PLANET It aint that, I just don't buy it. I remember when "plastic" was was the dogs Boll**ks taking over from Bakalite. most of your computer, car, mobile phone, toys, etc etc etc, infact anything that used to be made out of other materials i.e wood, metal, glass etc, if its possible to make em out of plastic, they do.. but that doesn't seem to matter, its not mentioned.....WHY, because its not economical to make it out of wood/metal. the perfect example is plastic bottles. Glass is the perfect choice, its main body, sand is available in abundance and is harmlessly recycled. but do the government intervene in that process.NO. Its all about money and profits. An excuse to charge for a plastic bag... although you could make a zillion carrier bags out of the plastic in a ford fiesta. PLASTIC damages the earth so why are we still making just about everything out of it, and blaming society for using a carrier bag... simple, its easy to put a levy on a carrier bag. Its all a big rip off in my opinion. just for the record, our company bags are paper, but only cus they look classy. Government policy.. If they want you to stop doing something, they tax it to death. smoking, drinking, car driving...its all a big rip off to fill the tax payer trough, so they can steel it in the name of expenses. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

ironplanet uk900
sorry planet but on this occasion you are wrong they do not want you to stop smoking drinking and driving , they would lose to much revenue Maybe I worded it wrong, the reason they tax it heavily is because it is bad for us/environment and there theory is, tax tax tax, they know it won't stop us...but its a good way of justifing the ever rising taxes. and its not for there expenese either or your other pet grumble i.e the welfare system , I never mentioned the welfare system its to protect there inflated wages and goldplated pension schemes which have a massive black hole in them to the tune of billions and is only going to go one way and thats a deeper and deeper hole I'm not sure what its for, but it certainly isn't to benefit the hard working in this country.
