Danny King
Hi, I'm looking for someone to cut a abloy key for us. We will need 40 of them in total. The key has a black triangle head with a blue dot on it. Can anyone cut these? If so how much would you do the job for? I have contacted Davenports but was told they cain't do it. Sks have said they can but don't want to move on price Also we need some Era fortress sasha locks 2 1/2 inch again Davenports are quoting 4 weeks Sks will do the job. Can anyone tell me if these locks are a problem to get keyed alike
Guest Cjm
Sorry we are unable to cut Abloy keys at present. We do however have some 2.5" Era Fortress Sashlocks PB 262-32 in stock, our part code is ML071. We can order keyed alike in but this would take approximately 2-3 weeks. Guest Cjm
We would be able to key them alike if we had the levers in stock. Unfortunately we don't get asked very often for these locks keyed alike.

SKS_User
And they are a real bugger to KA, ask me how I know sometime!!! It's worth picking up a couple of ERA 126 tools if you're having a problem, they stop the sash part springing off.
Mick Friend
The levers are stamped out to not very exact tolerences, and if you line them up the gates seem to float about a bit, allowing for tolerences on the keyway and key - it used to be a nightmare especially at 3am on a cold night sat inside your van with 10 locks to rekey because the nightwatchman had got pissed at the pub and lost his keys - and all this on the early morn of good friday, or not such a good friday for him. I have to admit I had to gate a few in the end to get them to work and go back a couple of weeks later to replace the lever packs with 10 made in the factory - 3 of which did not work. I'm glad I'm retired (I wish) Oh and the springs on the sash have a mind of their own and they BITE! or worse still blind you

Guest Lock N Safe Buddy
Hi Danny, We can cut any Abloy keys you may require AS LONG AS YOUR CUSTOMER CAN PRESENT YOU WITH THE REGISTRATION CARD. The key you have there in an Exec, which is patented. If your customer has lost the card, then he/she will have to have their locks rekeyed to be able to issue a new card. We can do this by return post if required. Or obviously buy new locks at ££££££'s. BTW can KA your fortress locks by return also Graham
Growster
I find Abloy the oddest of all security key manufacturers: They often only provide spare keys, if the original security card is mailed to them. They then return it with the new keys. That leaves plenty of scope for the card to get lost in transit.
Guest Lock N Safe Buddy
They are patented registered keys Growster, its the only sure way to make sure your customer has authorisation to have an extra key made. Abloy is sold purely on this basis (as is Mul-T-Lock, Medeco, Assa Twin, Cisa AP3 and many more). It may seem as tho Abloy are making it difficult for the key cutter, but remember the customer who bought Abloy, did so to stop the key cutter producing unauthorised keys. I know most key cutters would cut these keys WITHOUT question is the could obtain the key blanks, thus smashing the clients security to make a quick buck
Growster
Thanks for that, Locknsafebuddy. I have nothing against registered profiles at all, on the contrary. It is just that everyone else is OK with seeing the card or a copy/scan of the card, or with a signature on an order form, that matches the sig on a registration form. Abloy insist on having the original card sent to them. They also, like Mul-T-Lock, provide no option to get keys without a card, even if you can prove beyond doubt, that you are entitled to get them. In my opinion, that is too strict. But then again, it's just my 2p. Have a prosperous day, Chris
