I have noticed one or two adverse comments on the forum about Davenports. I would like to put an opposing view; this is only my limited experience.

I am new to this and have just set up with the help of my local davenport rep Bob. This is my first experience of buying from davenports but have been very impressed especially with Bob who has been very helpful and in my view gone above and beyond to help me.

Well done KirkyBob, i too am getting fed up with see the line "Bloody Davenports" on the last post headers , hopefully the moderators will lock this now old and tired posting.

We have had a few hicups with the service they give during the "For the Better" changes they have been implimenting, but on the whole are very happy with them , and without a doubt would be lost without them .

i konkur that as well,

but there seems to be a real onslaught on davenport burgess at the moment, we all make mistakes - so in my book oi am 'bored' reading about there's!

i get trophy orders and repair material orders that go wrong, and i agree it has to be aired in the hope of stopping it happening again and again, but lets move on to another - please....

Well thank God for forums, and if we get feedback from suppliers all well and good. Thats what this site is all about. Personally I have never had a problem with Davenports. But fair play to them they are listening and trying to rectify problems.

its in the sites Terms & Conditions that we agree not to

under normal circumstances the topic would have been pulled from the site as its just not worth the aggravation to me from a legal point of view.

 

However fair play to Davenports, Chris had replied so I contacted them to see what they wanted me to do & they where happy to answer their critics publicly on the site.

I personally commend them for that. Since this topic is all about praise its also my own opinion that the Davenports service is more than up to the task. I placed an order online during that debate & was more than happy with the speed & completion of the items I ordered. Chris even sorted some bits out for me that I couldn't find on their site, because as he requested previously I emailed him at chris@davenport-burgess.com

I would like to add , That I have dealt with with Davenports over a number of years off and on since the early 1990's.

 

Other than the odd item being out of stock there has never been any problems with my orders.

 

And as for there accounts staff they have the patients of a saint with me.

 

A very good down to earth company as far as I am concerned.

The original post that the initial thread of this post refers to had the desired effect , it gave both members a chance to air there problems , and Davenports a chance to respond and explain the situation from there end , it also gave forum users a direct link to Chris at Davenports who is more than happy to help with any problems and queries .

We now know what was causing some of the problems and how to order items not yet listed on there ever expanding website .

The forum did its job and hopefully got the problems sorted , where would we have been without it , well done to those who participated , for the long term good of those who just viewed with interest.
