Brass Engraving

Ive bought myself a piece of brass to engrave my shops opening hours on and then display outside ala doctors surgery thing.

 

I'm not a whizz at engraving and wondered if any one would have advice on a suitable sized font, font type and depth of engraving. Also i'd like to fill-in with black, what should i use and where would i get it from?

The size of font depends on the plaque size, but you can view the job beforehand in your software. Depth for infill is a mimimum of .25, again that depends on the size of your text, and the font used.

Infilling text is a learning curve and something that you will become better at judging the more experienced you get.

 

Variables include font style, font size, engraving depth, etc.
