Craig Gardner Posted January 8, 2009 Author Report Share Posted January 8, 2009 have you tried other key blank suppliers even the ones that sponser the forum yes i tried birch aswell and i didnt phone davenports as they are to slow i struggle to get a delivery in under a week and as the post says needed urgentaly.on the whole i dont use eh2 heads now but customer got one cut elsewhere and and is only in my area untill saturday night then back down to england and he has badly bent the blade and its ready to snap.he wasnt prepared to pay the price for me to cut a real key and program it into the car. hibsjo(SCO) Posted January 9, 2009 Report Share Posted January 9, 2009 Davenports have proved slower recently dont know why? dont have issues with NWKs or SKS on delivery ALWAYS next day....... side issue here..... I get a call/visit from most of my suppliers at least once a month if I havent used them for a few weeks they are always on the phone asking if they can be of any assistance(sales) so i find it strange when a firm of DB size dont call on customers who dont have a rep or who havent phoned in an order for a wee while(must be too busy making money) or cant be bothered offering a service.....forget the online deal if you are not conversant with computers you aint gonna order there either! I used to do a lot with DB but dont anymore(not much anyway) most of my stuff comes from NWKs as they do all the car stuff now whereas DB dont(not much anyway) Also SKS have a rep on the road who comes in every six weeks and he gets an order every six weeks.... If i lost a customer who paid me in a year as much as i paid DB id be on the phone asking as to the reasons they aint buying from me? I have been promised a visit from DB rep but to date it aint happened perhaps someone can answer that for me? Dont get me wrong Im an hour and a half from KEYPRINT and theyve never darkened my door either and i buy from them now and again but service is a dirty word........... sorry for going off on a side note but i think it is justified I dont do EH keys anymore Craig so i cant help you. carry on! I agree davenports are very slow so i dont use them anymore only if i need something i cant get elswhere which aint often. as for the rep for davenports in scotland he still pops in to visit but dont get an order but he is passing my door about once every six months as he is also the rep for another couple of companies and he is going to the local diy store a few doors away.he knows more about paint brushes than keys so you aint missing much Joe.most of my orders are done over the phone to sks and always get next day delivery. also ian the sks rep always gets an order when he visits.he is one of the most helpfull and polite reps to visit reguarly.i think birch has posted me a blade now but i forgot about keyprint so if not i will call them on monday morning.
