rapidlocks Posted August 19, 2008 Report Share Posted August 19, 2008 I have one , The tool is excellent as is the pin extraction, better on some than ad and not as good on others the vw and the vauxhall pin extraction is spot on. It programs just about everything that the AD100 does with the exception of ford coded access. For the money its excellent, the tool is spot on and easier to navigate than the ad100, highly reccomended. Was just wondering if you favoured JMA, Silca or any other brand to use with this machine as it's not one that I'd come accross before and was curious if it would accept, for example, JMA keys without any bother. rapidlocks Posted August 21, 2008 Report Share Posted August 21, 2008 honest guv it will program original and aftermarket chips in same way as ad100, will struggle like ad on some, but most problems can be gotten around by writing some logic to the chips with rw4 etc. its on par with ad, without the ad ford coded coverage, but ad have now got renault 12 digit pin code extraction where as obd have not as yet, they always seem to be a few steps behind ad. i use alot of 2nd hand chips in blanks, as already pre loaded with often relevent logic, especially on some . These machines have copy software - so bugs can be a problem - also as rapid locks also said - AD do not like these in the UK (or anywhere really) Its always good to get something on the cheap BUT ............... Yes they're the biggest, and at the forefront, but they are not the only ones developing stuff. If they were cheaper, people wouldnt be asking shall i get a copy rather than purchase the software at 495. They are good, but too dear. i mean, £90 for a lead!!! get the T300 from China, it comes with all the leads. Chuck the T300 away, keep the leads? I sent one of my new staff members on it recently, £135-00 for the day! he came back with great enthusiam + had been doing a lot of the programming - I have really not had the time, so this is a great step forward! rapidlocks Posted September 8, 2010 Report Share Posted September 8, 2010 This post is an old one indeed as the autotech which i still have and use is now a long long way behind advanced diagnostics , miles behind in both pin extraction and in programming , updates stopped and the guy just vanished. still a usefull machine if you come across one second hand at the right price, but now light years behind the AD100 pro and mvp pro units. proving that advanced diagnostics were the best bet over time and probably more economical over time as continued to develop and kept up with the changes in this market.
