kastanza
After being regularly asked by my shop customers about trophies and engraving, i took the plunge and I've now owned a computerised engraving machine for 6 months or so. Unfortunately, i rarely have the time to really experiment with the machines capabilities to the extent that i'd like - other than engraving basic trophy plates i havent really ventured into the many other possibilities my machine can offer. Is there someplace or resource where i can learn about some of the fundamentals... Images ( what the hell is a vector?!), Infilling, plastics, brass signage, cutting etc... it seems a shame that i am not using my machine to offer a fuller service. I know that Roland run some day courses for some of their products, is there an engraving equivalant....or is it a case of the long slow slog of self discovery ( which will result in foul language, violence and broken windows) ? kastanza
Sorry, should have said. Gravograph M40G. I've looked at the tutorials on this site - the engraving related ones do look very helpful and inspiring, but they do presume an amount of knowledge on the matter. i'm looking for an idiots guide i guess. kastanza
to be honest, i don't think i'm looking for specific machine advice.... more a fly on the wall exposure of the possibilities and techniques involved beyond the basic trophy plate. But thank you anyway.

Auto Key Wizard
It's all here Technical How To's - get the answers here first. This is from Gravograph Australia. The Training Modules are brilliant, Even Planet-UK could learn something from it! Why the hell it's not on their UK site I've no idea.
