jimbo1943
I don't mean I am thick,(some might question that). Since I retired have not used Foss Fix 1222 as much. I am finding it is thicking up a lot. have put some into a small metal tin but the same problem occurs. I know I could use thinners but would like to avoid that. Michael
I now use ,thanks to advice from others,Bostik 6092.I've found it much better and doesn't seem to thicken.I'm having the same problems with Renia Colle de Cologne lately.I just fill my pot with less than half and when its used drain out the muck at bottom and refill.Bit more hassle but wastes less adhesive. Lee
take the lid off the container & stand it in boiling water, replace lid & shake up & down. Fresh glue! Lee
x minit uk
How is putting the lid in boiling water going to affect the thickness of the solution.

Lee
Perhaps I ment, take the lid of the container & stand the CONTAINER in the water, if you leave the lid on the air will expand & blow it off! Once again Lee

ironplanet uk900
I've used 1222 in the past, and came up with the same problems. I now use 6092 which I find excellent, doesn't thicken and bonds as good as anything.
