Bren
In my younger days i'd be out late on a Friday night then a bit worse for wear at work on Saturday morning. I very rarely do this now and thankfully not last week. First job at 8.50am on Saturday was a pair of gold lame, stiletto heeled boots with a 105 pin that needed drilling out. I was doing them as a WYW and having a bit of trouble. Looking closely at the boots i realised they were high quality and a quick glance at the insole revealed they were 'Jimmy Choos' The customer said she paid, wait for it....., a grand for 'em !! Then the drill bit snapped in the heel Luckily i was in bed by 10 the night before so i had all my faculties about me and managed to do the job. Phew! Lee
In my The customer said she paid, wait for it....., a grand for 'em !!Then the drill bit snapped in the heel why is it only expensive boots/shoes need drilling out, and why does a drill only ever snap on a REALLY expensive pair! its never a pair of new look ones is it! Michael
And is always on while-u-waits If she had left them for a week they would have been easy!!
alxfer
I had a pair of Jimmys in last month The customer had walked the top piece off and was onto ruining the heel. When she picked them up I asked what she had paid for them. £600. You'd think in paying that price they'd look after them a bit better. Obviously got money to burn. Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
They need to be taught how to look after them as no-one tells them. a leaflet in with the new shoes would go a long way but that is against the interests of the retail organisation, the longer they last the less they sell. Michael
I just finished a pair of Lord Vestey's, hand made shoes worth about £3000.They needed a full re-welt,long sole and hobs putting in.Trying to re-welt was a nightmare because previous repairers ( ) had blaked them through at least 4 times. The bloody things were shot to pieces. Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
So how come you didnt blake them again michael26uk you could have taken the old stitches out and left room for them to be stitched another 4 times. I would have just clumped and riveted them.
