Suregarve Rotation S

Hi all.

 

I couldn't quite decide which section to post thiis topic in. Machinery or Engraving however I felt it was more likely to be read here so I'll spit out what I have to say now.

 

I am on the verge of placing an order for a brand spanking new "Rotation S" from Suregrave.

 

I have been pondering for the last year or so on which new machine to go for.

 

What I am looking for is members out there who have one of these machines or who have had experience of operating one.

 

I would like your opionions on it's performance with regard to speed, ease of use. engraving area and it's general capability to cope with the general day to day use a machine is expected to cope with in our environment.

 

I have looked at machines from all the leading suppliers and there are really 3 contributing factors which are going to influence my decision.

 

1) The most obvious price and value for money

 

2) The capability of the machine with regard to working area and the level of features that come as standard ie jugs and vices plus the software ease of use.

 

3) What if it goes wrong? How good is the after sales service. If I ring up with a problem will it be sorted out wihin hours or at worst days or am I likely to spend over 3 years and still be waiting !

to be 'onest Andy I would stay away from the Rotation S. I had one a couple of years ago and it was nothing but trouble. It had a mind of its own. If you programed it to do multi lines it would engrave so far around a cup, then miss letters or wouldn't lift, so dragging along to the next line. Nightmare. Also if you messured a flat plate (hight & width) typed in text it would not be central. Enough said I think about that. But I have now got a Signature Mini Advanced, Simple to use, ie software, it can engrave Anything that can be held in vices. Uk aftersales 1st class. I've not needed it yet but been assured that any new parts would be despatched same day. Fair price for its capabilities. So far I am very Happy, Give them a ring or pm me for any info
