TITs
Got a wee prob with setting up at slightly larger job than the is200tx can handle without software , Im trying to do a bit of gravoply thats 255mm x 125mm just slightly bigger than the machines XY limmit. When I run the job the machines LCD says move y axis +170mm. When I do that the gravo ply is way off and when you start the job it is a good 400mm away from the working Area ? I have never ran anything bigger than the norm so any pointers as to where i am F****king up would be very happily recieved
petercoulson
that is so close to the machines limit, are you engraving to the edge or could you keep the engraving to 225 x 80 of the plastic? in that case just lie to the machine

Guest Iain Cheall
2 tips for you, either lie ( as suggested earlier ) to the machine or upgrade it to a 400. The long plate system is the wierdest thing i ever came across. What i used to do was mark the side of the job where the machine was asking ( measured from the top ) and align that with your datum line you have to engrave on your jigs. ignore the scale on the long plate itself as it means nothing ( I have no idea why it is there at all ) If I remember correctly the datum line needs to be 40mm up from the machines normal zero line.
