B&Q KEY CUTTING

Recommended Posts

I don't know if my local B&Q have still got there machine by the doors or even anywere in the store...whatever!!! it never effected us, and we rarly get keys in with there names on.......probably a big flop.... :D

I aint one for worrying about the oposition, You'll find if your doing a good job, they're the ones who are worried \:D/

I find if customers are happy with your service, and the visit is pleasureable and friendly, then they will take a hell of alot of prising away from you. 8)

Thats true. I never go to a person that isn't an expert at their trade. Why would i? I don't mind paying more for a quaility job, even if it is just a key cutting.

Hi not sure if anyone can help I've noticed my key cutting reveue drop cosiderably, then a customer told me my local range was now cutting keys with a laserkey machine as well as the local Asda which I already knew about ! I went to have a look the range machine staff told me the machine was great and easy to use even gave me a demonstration ! Does anyone know anything about these machines my Asda has had one now for three years and when that went in my Buisiness dropped nearly 40%. Is this the end of traditional key cutting ??

Thanks been back to the range store today customer services said they are cutting about 100 keys a week and I'm down about 50 keys a week since it went in ! apparently more stores around the country are getting one they are also offering dry cleaning and shoe repair just to finish me completely. Think my shop will be vacant soon at this rate ! No mention on the machine of the name of the company that is supplying them the one in Asda has a Yale sign but this one in the range looks new and has no reference to anyone on, if more of these arrive in other retailers I defiantly won't survive two have done enough damage. Does anyone know anything about the company that is making these laserkey machines it must be somebody that knows the industry well.

Specialise in all the things they don't do you will soon get a name for yourself.

We will order any blank for a customer if we dont have it even going as far as getting a box of 50 from silca, jma or davenports.

Get every type of window key you can, we do a massive trade in these now.

Get yourself into car key cloning if you don't already do it and make sure you can cut or supply any type of key that comes through your door.

If you see a lot of mul t lock keys then get yourself a machine that will cut them.

After a while customers automatically come to you rather than a faceless machine.

Most important of all is to never be in a position to say no, a lot of security keys can be obtained with a letter of authorisation from your customer and a bit

of research.
