Gray
I try and keep a good selection of laces in but it's never enough for some people, Either the the wrong shade or 2" too short or or 2" to long. I don't know why I bother. "Have you tried where you had the shoes from?" They don't sell laces.. Screwed then. Have a nice day kobblers and Flash 1
kobblers
I certainly don't miss that. I used to keep almost the full range of TRG polish jars and the dyes, and the shade was never bloody right. Rick.

Shifted most of them. “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time” kobblers
Billy366
I have found you can have your shop rammed full of different laces & you will have customers asking for a lace you don't have, So I just stock a basic range, What pisses me off when they come in & say I'm looking for some laces, Ok what colour, Length, round, flat or cord, I don't know my shoes are at home, I think how the Fu$$ do I know then?? kobblers
abababa
Make sure if you are going on the merry go round of despair with these shoe lace customers , keep your cool and make sure that your prices are at least 4 -5 pound per pair. You are giving advice and knowledge. Mike at Vauxhall
grahamparker
Best decision I made was getting rid of shoe repairs and sundries. Don’t miss it at all. kobblers
abababa
It's not just the 5 - 10 minutes of time giving advice, it's the 5 minutes afterwards correcting the display when they have picked 5 - 6 pairs of their correct display hook and put them back on the wrong positions. kobblers, Mike at Vauxhall and MartyCoggs 2

That used to do my head right in - I found it pretty disprespectful. Rick.

When covid happened I made my shop smaller. ! turned my stands round so they couldn't fiddle with them. I put one of each on the reverse as a display. They had to ask. Some still tried to yank them off though.
