Kay Smith
Hi, just looking for some advice please. I've seen a Silca triax ecode machine for sale with R1 jaws, software for cisa astral s, Yale1* and 3* I've been cutting keys for years but only basic cylinder and mortice, so I have no idea when it comes to car keys and dimple keys, I'm wanting to start offering them but I don't know where to start or what I need. What would I need to purchase on top of what's listed to get going? I'm on a bit of a budget so I'm not bothered about being able to do everything, I'd just like to offer the thick of it. Hope this all makes sense. Thankyou Kay
almeriasecure
The Silca Triax code machine is a great for cutting Dimple keys. Although an old machine with limited service back up it will serve you well. I have the same model and use it with Instacode. Silca software is available but very expensive to keep up to date unless you are cutting hundreds of keys. I dont think that you will cut many Cisa Astral keys, but Yale 1* & 3* only if you already have the jaws.
Lock Stock
The 3* Yales are talking about will need the R4 rotating jaw. If you haven’t got one with the machine I doubt you will justify the cost. If you are on a budget and want electronic then I wouldn’t look at Silca I would at the Miracle Machines. You could pick up a cheap A9 with magnum jaw, it’s no Triax but will cut keys fine. I actually have both machines plus the S10 and they have all served me well. Miracle will NOT cut the new yale 3 star looking at previous posts on the forum.

Yes correct the current jaw can’t do the ZA & B keys as the keys are to short. But incase anyone else is interested I have been told that it is in the pipeline.
