cobblers.keys
Does anyone know how to fix this mistake where the engraving has moved whilst going over it again? All help appreciated.

kobblers
I agree with Patsy; just redo it, but this time, try not to engrave a picture of a phone, too. Rick.
cobblers.keys
It's engraved directly onto a Chippendale salver.
grahamparker
You have 2 options and neither are cheap. 1 , If it is Silver plated send it to Swatkins and they will replate it for you then re-engrave 2, Buy a new salver and re-engrave. We all make mistakes, but it is how you solve them that makes you a professional. This is an expensive mistake. Happens to us all. Oh and either way consider getting the supplier to engrave it for you.

hibsjo(SCO)
You can get an electric pen plating system once polshed out you make an electrical contact with the plate and pen and then wipe on silver plating liquid. loads of vidoes online carry on! Bronco78th
Does this work on deeper cuts? do you just keep layering up the silver? Just been watching a tutorial using the pen system, very cool and I have a bunch of silver plated keyrings I screwed up that I'm wondering now if I could recover them. hibsjo(SCO)
not so good on deep cuts. you are polishing the layer of plate off as you normally dont go through the plate while engraving so all your doing is replating so if youve gone through to the base metal its more difficult carry on!
