Synthetic shoe lining material

Anyone know where I can get some pieces in various (mainly black!) colours?

Some times when making or patching straps, using leather to line them with makes them a bit stiff.

Would depend on what leather you are using. There are many soft leathers that wouldn't make it stiffer and is better than using synthetic materials. Be more than happy to send you some cuttings if you would like to try some options

I use the really soft stretchy leather and scour it back a bit to make it even thinner, but it also looks different when the original linings are synthetic.

Not a job I do very often but coming into summer there will be quite a few cheap sandals needing repair.
