k4mrc 225
just had a customer, ask if we could her watch battery to which we said yes - however according to mr t's it's not essential so cannot be done? it was a nurses watch? surely that classed as essential? either way we do it. I'm not looking for an excuse to get up[ and do my job
Count Muppet 717
That’s obviously not a company policy. that’s someone not wanting to do the job for whatever reason
grahamparker 2,299
We are still doing plenty of watch batteries. I was told some of the local Timpsons are being furloughed from today with the shops closing, not sure if there is any truth in this but we have been exceptionally busy today. Count Muppet 717
Shops have been closing for a couple of weeks now. Not enough though. Still have over 600 open with a lot of those doing less than £1k a week

Count Muppet 717
If shops aren’t taking money they close them. It’s so difficult to earn bonus at the moment that it’s better to be at home earning the same money so people seem to be turning work away to get the shop shut
exp121260 185
My local Timpsons shut (temporally ) at the start of this last lockdown !

Auto Key Wizard 473
Every item/service in my store is an essential sale, I'm in business to make profit and support the future of my family and staff. In turn this supports the local community, but also partly supports the economy as a whole with the taxes I generate. We all have a life to live, a future to advance to, We are responsible for our own lives as individuals, Our own lifestyle can determine that length of living. A small percentage of the world's population will die due to old age, illness etc., a large percentage will become ill, but will recover. A damaged world economy will take many years or decades to recover. k4mrc and grahamparker
completelocks 26
A guy on a local facebook group has a market stall selling sweets, toffee, chocolate etc, you know the kind.. "A quarter of Uncle Joes's Mintballs please". He had in his little facebook promotion that the council had told him he can open as he is essential. A lot of places that are open and claim to be essential are just telling porkies, but what to do? If one does, another one will. grahamparker
