cobblers.keys
I ordered some evva gp1 blanks about a month ago for a school however customer came in today letting me know that the blanks will not go in lock. I thought it odd because I was under the impression that I was ordering original blanks from supplier. As you can see from the pictures they are different profile although they are printed correctly ( EVVA GP1) as you can see the new copy is is on the right hand side of the picture. Confusing? Can anyone explain? Thanks again
Count Muppet
There’s a definite difference in the blanks. The cut on the right looks awful too. Time for a new cutter I think.
cobblers.keys
The difference between the two blanks is my concern it does not match so will not enter the lock. Particularly the front profile. I don't get any other keys back and these were cut a month ago. Count Muppet
It wasn’t meant to cause offence. Just advice really. Something isn’t right with the cut. For some reason the cuts aren’t flat, and my first thoughts were that a new cutter is needed but this can also be caused by cutting the key too fast. this key may well have worked if it was on the right blank, but I doubt any keys cut from it after ever would. cobblers.keys
OK Count, Thats a fair enough comment. I think I will take you up on your advice and change the blade. Thinking about it now I can't remember when it was last changed.
