Oh, dear, politics.

Summing up Scottish independence, they want to leave a successful 300 year union, where they get an advantageous disproportional representation ( that actually works for both sides), to join the steamrolling empire of the EU. If the EU will have them.

So much for independence.

I remember cursing the EU as well, around 20 years ago, when suddenly I all of a sudden had to offer to staff a clean 20 days off as holidays. It used to be 10 before that, similar to the States back then.

successful union ..just because something exists, it  doesn't mean its successful, remember USSR.

advantageous ?   even though Scots disagree with the rest of uk in most issues that are steamrolled through Westminster,, be it privatization of nhs, austerity (closing libraries cutting police numbers or schools budgets) or brexit..no money for disable but tax relief for high earners type tory polisies are against mainstream scots public..

why won't westminster allow that vote Graham?

the vote in 2016 was to remain part of a  UK which was a part of europe, I don't have a problem with that, however the vote to leave europe (Scotland voted overwhelmingly to stay in europe)  means that we need another vote if the outcome is the same then so be it

jimmy krankie and her mob ???

here lies the problem with "brit

                                                         ain"

carry on!

As a Democracy (supposedly) the nation (United Kingdom) voted and the majority voted to leave.

London voted to Stay overwhelmingly as did Scotland but that makes NO DIFFERENCE as in a democracy the majority rule like it or not.

If it wasn't for all the C***S in parliament we would already have left by now with or without any deal.

Hopefully Boris is strong enough to force us out one way or another.
