Engraving in customers own hand writing.

Recommended Posts

I’ve been wondering why more shops offering engraving don’t offer items engraved in the customers own handwriting to add a proper personal touch. Something much easier to do than adding a logo with a computer engraver. Has anyone else ever done this?

Anecdote alert...

There exists a GV machine that uses a gold marker pen instead of a diamond to mark on glass bottles.

One of the options in the software is for customers to 'write' on the screen, and then the machine will write on the bottle.  It always struck me that someone spent a long time making that work without realising you could just hand a gold marker pen to the customer....

We've done a few kids handwriting and drawings for father's Day and mother's days. They look really nice. Usually offer it on key rings but have done compact mirrors, dog tag necklaces and cufflinks in the past.
