GLENGRAVING
Hi, thought I should introduce myself - I work in a hardware store with key-cutting/engraving services My surname is Glen, as the username implies, and engraving is an area of the business I intend to expand, as the username sort of also implies. Within the year my plan is for me to take over ownership of the shop as my boss (semi-)retires - an exciting prospect as I get to go from someone working 7 hours per day with reliable pay to someone working every hour per week and likely not seeing any profit for a good while due to investment in shop renovation and machines. Huzzah. Hoping to scour this forum for every nugget of wisdom I can Edited June 13, 2019 by GLENGRAVING kobblers and Mike at Vauxhall

The area isn't the nicest, but it'd be worse if this long-established business was to close. I talked the gaffer out of selling it outright as I step up to take over. Our engraver is a janky prehistoric gravograph unica - which just about gets the job done. My mid/long-term plan is to get a larger CNC machine and CO2 laser cutter in due course, as we have the luxury of a decent sized store-room which will be converted into a workshop for those big new toys.
