Mike at Vauxhall
Occasionally when doing a fob, the first one is rejected. I then get a fresh fob , repeat the process and generally things are OK . To play it safe, I've been binning these first rejected fobs, but should I. Would these fobs be OK for rewriting? Sorry if this is the wrong section, seeing it more as under a keycutting "umbrella" thread Edited September 18, 2018 by cowers lane 583 Missed a word
kirkybob
I have had the same problem on a couple of occasions, and do exactly the same as you. Somtimes they will re write somtimes not. normally the fobs are re-writable, but it seems occasionaly we get a bad fob. Growster
We reuse them, even if they once behave as duds. Mike at Vauxhall
Onisan2000
When you copy a fob it writes to the blank by formatting the blank to one of the types the machine can copy. there are some fobs that are misread and so the initial formatting is wrong. dont throw them away as that format is valid for another type of fob so just put it back in the box for next time.
