NYKeys
Anyone else have/had problems with these? We find they don't suit the lock they're designed for.

keyman
To be fair, I've had genuine Era 6 pin blanks that did not fit into Era 6 pin cylinders.

Chris @ IKS
We are having all sorts of negative feedback on Era blanks of all makes at the moment. We have customers who specifically ask for any make but JMA 'because they don't work', the very next phone call will be someone specifically asking for JMA as 'the Silca ones don't work'. We have never stocked HD in Era profiles but sounds like there are issues there too! Is the common denominator here the Era lock? gavin

Only in the past 12-18 months have we started to get people ask for another brand, before that we only kept Silca.
Mike at Vauxhall
HD blanks always seemed a bit shallow. Never had a problem with either Silca, or JMA.
grahamparker
One of my competitors stocks and sells a lot of ERA cylinders so we do a lot of ERA cylinder keys i cannot remember one coming back not fitting in we have had issues when copying keys that others have cut already. But never had issues when copying an original.

grahamparker
I bet it will be down to the broaching of the plug and using cutters longer than they should to save costs.
Gray
Never had any problems to date with the ERA keys, I have however had problems with these UAP blanks being too thick despite being genuine keys........ I just use the UN6D SLIM... I measure the thickness of everything now to be safe. Michael
I always cut these by clamping with the bottom groove now, seems to have eliminated the odd one that wasn't working!!

We do this with UAP, too, otherwise they don't work. Any other keys which cut better (or will only work) if cut referenced off groove rather than bottom edge? Count Muppet
The iseo f6 key when using copy blanks, we always clamp on bottom groove otherwise they have no chance
