NYKeys
Two things I've noticed recently:- 1) Davenport Burgess's HD Union mortice blanks seem to have a narrower bit than both the ones I usually get from SKS and the Union originals. This doesn't actually seem to cause any problems but seemed odd to me. Anyone else noticed this? 2) Eurospec big brass mortice blanks seem to be a half gauge thicker than the original keys which IS causing problems - they're not able to go in the locks. Anyone noticed this? We used to have problems a few years ago with Eurospec blanks but they've been OK for ages now, and then a couple of days ago we got three back (same lock, same key). canoncan
I've always had this problem with the Eurospec brass keys. I now use the Chubb 114 blank (SKS Ref. 373) & there haven't been any problems. Try them sometime, they work for me. kobblers

keyman
S L, probably is Smith & Locke (see what they did there?), which is another branding of Eurospec locks. I think it's used to supply the sheds such as Screwfix.

We now use HD's L372 the bit is slightly bigger to suit both 3 & 5 lever Union locks CummingsLocks

Chris @ IKS
Eurospec Big Brass Mortice keys - We keep both genuines and copies and there is half a gauge difference between the two. Many of our customers keep both and just match the customers original (ie if the customer brings in a copy then use a copy). Always found it a bit bizarre. kobblers and exp121260
