They were major wholesalers of shoe repair materials from a site in the historic Groat Market of Newcastle for many years. They were, and still are, a family business. They were also one of the original Benchmark companies. As their business direction has changed they have gradually drifted away from repair materials and devoted more space and effort to selling new shoes. It is always sad to see long time suppliers disappearing. ( We retire next Wednesday by the way but are still open for business as usual until 12.00 noon on the 30th November.
