LockandKey
Not sure if I'm going mad but I've read some of you guys are not using the genuine blanks - can I ask why? Happy to sell the genuine blanks in small or large batches with low cost delivery if it makes sense! Inc delivery and VAT what do you pay for 10 Magnum/Yale Superior copy blanks? Because the other's are so much cheaper, I usually buy them in at 100 a time, best price that way and the customer never worries about it - so why worry? No idea at this time as not at work on how much they are off the top of my head - but very happy
grahamparker
I have some genuine yale blanks and they are so tough they blunt the cutters really quickly. Silca and keyline blanks are a lot softer and produce a great cut. Broms Cobb, kobblers and I love Keys
Broms Cobb
The tolerances in the lock are massive, you could cut a key on a lolly stick and have it work, go with the cheapest. Who sell's the lolly stick ones and how much are they? kobblers and hibsjo(SCO)

brightonkeys
The tolerances in the lock are massive I'm aware that I'm opening myself up to some blunt/acerbic riposte from you here, Warren, but they are and they aren't. I know what you're saying - but the keys can also be fiddly. Does this just depend on the lock you have in front of you?
LockandKey
Not at all mate. It's all about knowing where you can be massively out and where you need to be spot on. I have no smart arse comments for people who are genuinely trying to learn, it's hard enough out there as it is. What really gets on my nerves is when people are taking money from the public for a supposedly professional service when they are clearly incapable of offering that service. So far - no one has offered a price they are paying for genuine Yale superior blanks - I agree there are some crap batches which will ruin the cutters, typical Chinese production and they all suffer from this, no such thing as a pure blank... always soft, always perfect... PS 'locksafe' I assume you are not talking about my company!

PS 'locksafe' I assume you are not talking about my company! Not in the Trade Section so most will not post a price for obvious reasons. Look at the price per 100 on Aldridges site and that is how much i pay (plus my little extra discount). kobblers
Michael
Just been asked to cut one of the new Yale Platinum BS TS007 dimple keys, are genuine blanks available anywhere for these, or just use the Superior blank for now?

You probably won't have the software update to do this yet - we can supply genuine platinum blanks if you need them or cut the keys if required.
