Telephone sales calls

I can't take anymore, 5 calls today from abroad offering to supply electricity I've registered with tps & renewed this but still get them I think the only answer is to use my mobile for business I have an app installed to block these Tw#ts happy days!

Same here. I registered with Tps and still get 4/5 calls a day. Pain in the backside.

this is QVC but I'm sure you can get them other places. I have had mine since MArch very few calls now- You push the red button each time and they are gone - Downside is if you get calls from with-held numbers- such as doctors, vets etc it blocks them as well.

I usually ask them what the weather's like in their part of the world, or whether they've been on holiday yet. I then ask them to hold the line for a moment and I leave the phone with the line open for a few minutes. They've always hung up when I return, and they never call again!

Couldnt you get a premium rate number and ask them to ring the owner on it?

I've tried if you call on a Sunday you will speak to the boss,The boss is deaf so he can't use the phone, if you call every day for the next 20 years it's still I'm not interested,Are you listening very carefully? Yes they say! NOW FU## OFF at the top of my voice I think mobile phone is the best option also saving £££ & I can run the card machine though it!

I've tried tps. Waste of time. Two ways to deal with these calls. 1- just hang up immediately. 2- if it's "John" from Croydon, tell them you're "Sanjay" from Mumbai. ... then hang up.

it's the I am from microsoft about your problem.

I usually say Oh thank god my wife has been complaining

he goes into the blurb and then when he is finished I ask - so will this fix my microsoft

he stumbles and mumbles and I say you know my big penis will it be hard again!  click wirrrrrrrr

I often google the number while the phone is ringing.

Spammy numbers will immediately pop up on sites like 'whocallsme' so you know to ignore them.

I generally tell them to call back in 5 minutes and ask for mr Ben chod. They usually put the phone down as the means mr sister f***er.

I don't make my life a misery. I answer all calls & when its a call centre, I am never rude I just say no thank you & put the phone down. it don't bother me.

Like everyone here i get these nuisance calls.. I pay a small amount each month to BT so my phone shows the number of the caller. If it's from another country phone shows it as "Out of area" . I now recognise the majority of call centre numbers and simply never answer the phone to them. If I get a with held number i answer by simply saying "hello" and then waiting to see who's on the other end. If it's a call centre I just hang up.

Sometimes they "hide" who they are. I had one a few days ago, kept mentioning bt ( my phone provider). In the end I had to ask him srraight. " Do you work for bt?". " No!" I hung up immediately.
